Course Description

By completing this course you will have looked at how to work in a team, develop your skills within the team and the different skills you need to be part of a team.

This Hospitality: Effective Working Relationships course is suitable for companies, colleges and training providers offering provision or courses in the hospitality, travel, tourism and catering sectors. It helps to support the QCF unit ‘Effective Team work’ and caters to the assessment criteria for this unit.

The course has been written by experienced, hospitality industry professionals and is designed for use on a wide variety of mobile devices.

This module uses a story to teach the learning outcomes which are approached holistically:

  • The learner takes the place of staff on shift in a hospitality environment, meeting different teams
  • The characters in the module narrate the story and introduce the challenges
  • Using a tablet to complete the challenges, the learner must complete all tasks in order to complete the module and receives a reward

On completion of this course learners will know:

  • What teamwork is and what the characteristics of a great team are
  • The importance of clear communication and working to deadlines
  • How to describe some of the problems that can arise in working relationships and how to gain good working relationships
  • The benefits of self–development
  • Your learning style and how best to learn and further your development
  • How to write and review your development plan

This course is especially ideal for companies, colleges and training providers offering provision of courses in the hospitality, travel, tourism and catering sectors.

When you’ve completed this online training you will sit an online test and, once successful, you can download your certificate.
