Course Description

By completing this course your employees will know how to meet your organisation’s standards, be aware of the different types of equipment in hospitality, understand how to tackle unexpected situations, learn how to perform safe lifting and carrying techniques and become aware of the maintenance procedure.

This Hospitality: Cleaning and Servicing course has been created to ensure your staff know the general cleaning procedures and how to clean and service, bathroom and furniture areas. This module also covers hazards, lifting, handling and maintenance procedures relevant to all roles in the hospitality industry.

By completing this course you will be making sure your employees are meeting your organisation standards, which in turn will minimise the risk of bad publicity or lawsuits.

On completion of this course learners will:

  • Be able to describe the different types of cleaning equipment and materials that will be needed when cleaning furnished areas, toilets and bathrooms
  • Be aware of the different unexpected situations that might occur when cleaning and how to handle them
  • Know how to use safe lifting and carrying techniques
  • Be aware of the circumstances under which to call maintenance
  • Understand the importance of following the correct cleaning procedures and be able to identify different disposal methods for different types of waste
  • Understand what cleaning records need to be completed

This course is suitable for anyone working in hospitality.

Duration
Approximately 1-2 hours. The length of time taken depends entirely on how quickly you can study and absorb the material. The course is self-paced with approximately 55 interactive screens with multiple components. You do not have to complete all the training in one session. Your progress will be recorded throughout.
