Post: 1st line IT Support Engineer
Overview: As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing 1st line support remotely and onsite to our Academies and Head Office in Calderdale.
Salary: Salary 21-24K SCP4/5
Responsible to: IT Infrastructure and Services Manager
As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing 1st line support remotely and onsite to our Academies and Head Office. You will resolve all 1st line support issues working from the service desk and escalate more complex issues via the relevant support channels within the IT SLAs following our internal escalation processes and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an education-based ICT support role with the ability to build critical internal and external relationships. You will be directly responsible for the following:
•Service desk first point of contact via Phone / Walk-in / Tickets
•Escalation path to L2 support team
•User account management
•New Starters and Leavers administration
•Updating the knowledge base
•Lesson and Assembly equipment management
•Audio Visual troubleshooting
•Equipment Scheduling and Bookings
•Endpoint setup and deployment / OS Upgrades / Software Deployments
•Digital signage content management
•Hours 37 per week + Occasional Overtime (flexibility is essential for out of hours maintenance work)
•25 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays
•8 am -4:30pm Mon -Thurs
•8 am -13:40pm Fridays
